The Turbo Blanket is made from glass fiber material,the turbo shields can withstand direct heat up to 1800°F(982°C)and 2500 °F (1800 °C)radiant heat.This retain most of the heat creating by the turbine side of the turbo charger,the result:less heat more power.
Turbo Blanket isolate the heat produced by your turbocharger with the purpose of reducing turbo lag, cooler air intake temperatures, protecting and prolonging engine components, and giving a boost in horsepower.In keeping the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger and away from the cool side of the turbocharger and the intake path, more oxygen per unit volume reaches the engine, and thus, more power.
Stronger and more durable than other turbo blankets or shields, Turbo Shields include a hi-temp rated silica insulation padding under the tight outer layer for extra added protection against extreme turbo-generated heat.
